I have created this space for the creative writers among us. Here, you can post your stories, journal entries, rants and raves, poetry, deep thoughts (about your life, life in general, something you are reading, something we are reading in class), or simply your observations in life.
My goal for this blog is to provide a place to write creatively, to improve writing, and to develop writing style. When posting to another student's work, we should not be evaluative ("this is good" or "this is bad"). Rather, we should ask questions and/or state what we "got," or took away from from our reading of the work. In this way, our comments will not be critical and evaluative, but thought-provoking and helpful to all of us... the writers.
While you will not be graded and evaluated on the work you post here, I do expect academic integrity (original work only!) and academic language. Avoid language in your creative writing that you would not use aloud in class.
Do not post anonymously. If you would like to create a pen name and use that, that is fine, but you must tell me this name so that I know who is posting what. Email your request for a password at www.ewalsh.english@gmail.com.
