My Biggest Mistake

I look to the ocean.
Beautiful tides of blue touch my toes,
tickling me inside.
I hear seagulls in the air
and a boat passing by.
It is peaceful.
A place of pure harmony.
Despite the beauty and peace,
I am troubled,
lost.
This feeling sinks deep into me
and destroys my happiness.
I miss my old life:
what was and what should have been.
Now I sit here,
all alone,
wondering how it could have been.
Why? Why on earth did I make such a stupid mistake?!
I feel so dumb.
I'm a coward.
If only I could turn back time...

I would never, ever betray you like I did.
